When Garith and I started doing Headless Historicals dolls, it was only a matter of time before I got the urge to do something on a grander scale... full size replicas. These are some of the heads I built for the historical effigies, as well as a few rainy day projects I came up with on the side involving severed heads. |
The head of Mary Stuart, Queen of Scots.

Queen Anne Boleyn, early stage on the left and final result on the right.

(left) Anne Boleyn's neck stump. (center) This is just something I whipped up using a head form base that I had decapitated for another project. I thought it would make a cute pencil holder. (right) Head for Queen Catherine Howard.

I get a lot of packages delivered to my home, and it is
often a bit of a scavenger hunt with four possible places where a delivery
person might have left my package. Although the regular lady from USPS
is really good about putting packages where I'd asked her too, the others
don't seem to remember so well. So I build "Simon" here as a friendly reminder to delivery folks. Fortunately, most of the regulars around here are pretty used to my madness, but I made him a little goofy-looking so any newcomers wouldn't be too alarmed when they catch sight of him. (I already have a history of frightening unsuspecting servicemen.) So Simon says "Put packages here!" |
