Oh, how I love the old classic vampire movies. Particularly the sophisticated monsters who reside in those beautiful mansions with carved furnishings and luxurious details. I figure anyone who's been around for centuries would do well enough for themselves to have a well decorated abode! So here's to the Count Draculas, the Lestats, and the Elizabeth Bathorys of vampire lore. |
| I disguised an
old storage chest by covering the top in velvet and adding some decorative
upholstery tacks. Adding a backboard done in the same fashion, it began to
take on the appearance of a church pew. It is further adorned with gothic-patterned pillows and my little plush gargoyle and Satan dolls. The windows have stained glass films on them. |

The view of the
bench, with a glimpse of the coffin bookshelf. The bay windows are draped in black velvet with a burgundy sash across the top. The ceiling is painted in a cinnamon-wine color and edged with gold moulding. Up near the top from the celing, you can see the signature bat - this time in the form of a stained glass hanging sculpture. |
| There it is, the
7-foot coffin bookshelf. Made from plywood, painted to look like dark wood and then completely lined on the inside with a rich burgundy velvet. Later on, this piece was converted into a wine rack casket. |

The wrought iron
bed with satin pillows. This is also a great view of the wall, which I wanted to look like black lace over dried blood. The heavy to light dappling of the black gives it a bit more texture and depth, which is beautiful in low lighting.

| The doors that
lead to the closet and to the ossuary.
Also a place to store various knick-knacks. |

And there it is,
my obligatory signature.
In case you haven't noticed, I try to incorporate a bat into all of my interiors. This one was a custom one-of-a-kind job. |
