About Me

I'm really not so bad of a person, so please don't let all the blood and horror mislead you.  I just happen to enjoy creeping the Hell out of people for a living and appearing half-glued is just part of the job description.

I still tease my mother about how when I was a teenager she would explain away my interest in the horror genre (and the zombies in the garage) by saying "It's just a phase...she'll grow out of it!" 

 I don't have a respectable "day job".  What you see here is what I actually do full time. I decided a long time ago that I was going to live in my own little creative world and find a way to make a living off of my talents and imagination.  To date, I've been doing quite well with that. Of course, I am not without assistance. I have two wonderful companions who often lend me their own talents on a project...or come up with entirely new projects for us all to play with. 

Most of my work has been for live audiences, and I know that venue seems to be going the way of the dinosaur when it comes to small-scale productions, at least in my area. I am very interested in doing FX makeup for film, and have been working on some small projects to hone my skills and get accustomed to the luxury of film editing when it comes to executing complicated effects.

I also love to write. That should be pretty obvious with the amount of essays featured on this website. I'd like to get into writing on a more professional level, and I have been published quite a few times in various places. 

So the intention of this website is just to showcase my work so others can either appreciate it or just throw things at it.  If something I do or you think I can do catches your attention, please feel free to contact me.

If you've been browsing through my portfolios, you've already got a pretty good idea of the types of things I can do.  While currently I'm focusing much of my attention on special makeup FX for film, I do know my way around a sewing machine and can be talked into doing creative interior decorating as well.
